About This Page

The first BFF was held in 1997 and it became an annual event in 1999. The way it works is that participants nominate films at the beginnning of each year and the names of the films are posted on this Website. After that, votes are cast according to the voting guidelines and then tallied. The winner is announced and a date is set for the showing of the film. Most of the time, a second film is shown as well.

The years shown below display icons representing the films. Each icon is linked to the IMDb Web page describing the film in full. In most years there have been two films. In such cases, the film on the left is the winner for that year.
